Vera Mitrohina (ヴェラ・ミトロヒナ, Vera Mitorohina) is one of the main characters of Isekai Quartet The Movie ~Another World~.

Appearance[]

A young female soldier who wears the same imperial uniform as Tanya von Degurechaff.

Personality[]

She hates lies.

Background[]

Vera was born in the Unified States to Imperial parents. She was proud of her heritage and was fluent in the Empire's language. However, when the war started, the people they considered friends turned on them. Vera blamed the Empire for this and began loathing it. She eventually joined the Unified States army and was sent to infiltrate the Imperial army as a spy.

At some point, she ended up in another world, which was inhabited by golems. She befriended Pantagruel and Alec Hoshin while there, eventually growing to call this place home. However, she felt betrayed after discovering that the two hid the fact that there was a way home. Vera then left with a ring that could control the golems, intending to lead the immortal army back to her world so they could end the war.

Plot[]

Vera meets Ainz Ooal Gown and Kazuma Satou when they suddenly appear at the golem facility. She's wary of them at first but gives up once she realizes they are in the same situation as her. She tells them about the powerful device on the wall, which could allow them to travel between worlds, so the three form an alliance to return home. After showing them the diary, as she didn't know what the word "Chunibyo" meant, Vera comes to the realization that Pantagruel is the key.

She heads off to look for Pantagruel and ambushes her at the village's cathedral, where she meets Tanya von Degurechaff, a target of her hatred due to being an Imperial war hero. With the help of Ainz's Death Knight, Vera manages to kidnap Pantagruel and escape. Once back, she turns on Ainz and Kazuma after figuring out they are with Tanya. Despite their pleas about not breaking the seal, which would release a destructive golem, Vera does so anyway due to her confidence in being able to control it. Unfortunately, the golem proves to be uncontrollable and attacks Vera, causing Ainz to protect her.

Alec eventually arrives and reveals that Pantagruel can control the golem at the expense of herself. Vera comes to regret her actions, but Pantagruel makes up her mind and says farewell to both of them. With the help of everyone, Pantagruel manages to fuse with the golem and break the gem on its chest, revealing a wormhole. While everyone leaves, Vera opts to stay with Alec to watch over Pantagruel, who now resides in the inactive golem. Dissatisfied with how things ended, Kazuma uses one last "Steal" as he is leaving. His skill succeeds, and Pantagruel is separated from the golem, happily reuniting the three friends.
