Pantagruel (パンタグリュエル, Pantaguryueru) is one of the main characters of Isekai Quartet The Movie ~Another World~.

Appearance[]

A girl-type golem with an eyepatch on her left eye.

Personality[]

She is bright and has a lively personality.

Background[]

Pantagruel was created after Kikotenshin and the Head Researcher created a monstrous golem that they could not control. She worked together with the paladin and his siege golem to defeat it, later building a facility around the giant to seal it. Sometime later, the Head Researcher returned home and Kikotenshin passed away, leaving Pantagruel by herself.

She was alone for over three hundred years, until Alec Hoshin and eventually Vera Mitrohina appeared. Fearing that she would be left alone again, Pantagruel hid the fact that there was a way for them to return home. However, Vera discovered this and felt betrayed. She stole the ring that could control the golems and left, intending to lead the immortal army back to her world so they could end the war.

Plot[]

Pantagruel witnesses as new people arrive in her world and get chased by a siege golem. After they get separated, she discovers Subaru's group and helps them by calming down a hostile golem. She takes them to her village afterward, where they meet Alec and reunite with Naofumi's group. When the students ask her why the golems attacked them, Pantagruel tells them they are under Vera's command, who is testing their combat strength in order to bring them back to her war-stricken home world.

After receiving reports of a battle nearly, Pantagruel leaves with a small group consisting of Subaru, Beatrice, Naofumi, and Aqua. On the way there, she confesses that she lied about there not being a way home and that she couldn't run from reality anymore. They find Tanya's group and bring them to the village as well. However, when she goes to check on Alec at the cathedral, she gets kidnapped by Vera and is brought to the golem facility. Despite being warned that breaking the seal would unleash a destructive golem, Vera does it anyway. However, it proves to be beyond her control, and Ainz is forced to protect them from the golem.

Alec eventually arrives and reveals that Pantagruel can control the golem at the expense of herself. Vera regrets her actions, but Pantagruel makes up her mind and says farewell to both of them. With the help of everyone, Pantagruel manages to fuse with the golem and break the gem on its chest, revealing a wormhole. While everyone leaves, Vera opts to stay with Alec to watch over Pantagruel, who now resides in the inactive golem. Dissatisfied with how things ended, Kazuma uses one last "Steal" as he leaves. His skill succeeds, and Pantagruel is separated from the golem, happily reuniting the three.
